Mt. Diablo Village is a vibrant, welcoming community for seniors—where friendships grow, independence is supported, volunteers make a difference, and where learning opens doors to new discoveries and possibilities.

Founded in 2025, Mt. Diablo Village is a nonprofit created in response to one of the fastest-growing demographics in the nation—seniors. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Walnut Creek’s senior population age 55+ was nearing 43% in 2023.

At Mt. Diablo Village, neighbors connect, friendships flourish, and support is always nearby so that members can stay comfortably in their homes. We offer a lively mix of programs, engaging speakers, and enjoyable activities that bring joy, learning, and plenty of fun.

Walnut Creek's Senior Population

Senior population is the fastest growning demographic group in the country. Walnut Creek is of no exception with people 55+ nearing 43% in 2023. Many seniors plan to age in their own homes as long as it is possible. Mt. Diablo Village was formed to connect seniors and provide programs so that seniors can continue to have a social life while they continue to learn and find meaning and purpose as they continue to age in place. At Mt Diablo Village, we believe that aging is better together.
